The new model – debuting this weekend at Overland Expo Mountain West in Loveland, Colorado – expands upon the consumer-favorite, adventure-ready Interstate 19X with thoughtful features and design enhancements that elevate remote exploration. Only 30 units will be manufactured and Airstream’s nationwide dealer network is taking orders now.
Engineered for the Open Road
With 18-inch wheels, a powerful Mercedes-Benz® 2.0L turbo diesel engine, and a protective body coating around its base and over the hood, the Interstate 19X LE Outland Edition is built to conquer rugged landscapes with ease. A fully equipped front lighting system provides visibility while tackling rugged terrain, with three six-inch LED light bars on the brush guard and two six-inch hood vent LED lights. Off-road lights replace the traditional fog lights to ensure superior visibility during night time excursions. Multi-color LEDs have also been added to the undercarriage allowing owners to curate lighting to their preferred ambiance. As another design option, the Interstate 19X LE Outland Edition can be purchased with a durable metallic vinyl rivet wrap that pays homage to Airstream’s iconic hand-riveted travel trailer aesthetic.
Extended Outdoor Living Space
As a standout feature, the Interstate 19X LE Outland Edition boasts a 270-degree Batwing awning designed to create more exterior living space and provide ample shade and protection, no matter where the adventure leads. Constructed from durable 320-gram ripstop material, the expansive L-shaped awning has integrated LED lighting, resulting in a comfortable and versatile outdoor living space, shielding from excessive sun during the day and offering a well-lit environment at night. Whether owners are enjoying a meal, setting up camp, or simply relaxing under the stars, this essential feature extends the vehicle footprint, providing function and ambiance in any setting.
Convertible Interior and Exterior Features
The Interstate 19X LE Outland Edition includes convertible features that unlock practical luxuries only Airstream can provide. A three-position full-size platform bed with removable headboard delivers exceptional versatility, allowing adventurers to sleep inside or outside under the stars. In addition, owners can move the bed platform forward within the coach to maximize interior floor-to-ceiling storage space, or remove the bed system entirely to transform the interior into a spacious, customizable living area. The bed frame also boasts a chair swing mount for additional seating and relaxation.
To extend food storage and cooking functionality, the model is equipped with a Dometic CFX3 powered refrigerator, engineered on an articulating mount to create exterior access to provisions. The Dometic unit can also be lifted out and carried for ultimate convenience. In the galley, a stowable induction cooktop can be used inside or swapped for a cutting board and used outside the vehicle. The sink’s fold-down faucet has an integrated cover that stows securely to create more meal prep space (and accommodate the forward-bed configuration). At the curbside rear door, an exterior table mount provides an outdoor workstation for cooking with the induction cooktop or prepping adventure gear.
Enhanced Cabin Comforts
The cabin features custom-stitched jump seats and riveted aluminum trim in the bathroom and galley as another nod to Airstream’s signature design. For those who appreciate high-quality sound, a premium Sony DSX-GS80 digital media receiver comes standard and is paired with four eight-inch REV Black V2 speakers and a 400W subwoofer to create an immersive audio experience inside the vehicle. Dimmable LED lighting rounds out interior details, with separate RGB color changing accent lights helping to achieve the perfect mood.
