Airstream® Appoints Director of Materials: Welcomes James J. Downs to Leadership Team

Airstream today announced the appointment of Jim Downs as Director of Materials, effective immediately. Reporting directly to Airstream’s Senior Vice President of Operations, Mark Wahl, Downs will be responsible for directing the Procurement activity, Materials Planning and Inventory Control for Airstream.

“Jim has over 25 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles within materials and manufacturing/distribution management,” said Wahl. “His executive leadership in supply chain activities and development of supplier relationships will enhance Airstream’s strategic initiatives.”

In his most recent position, Downs was the Director of Supply Chain Management at Fairmont Homes, LLC.

Retired from the US Air Force, Downs holds both a BS and MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University. Downs and his wife Linda have two grown children, Craig and Lindsey.
